Alex Chan
Director of Business Engineering in APAC, Meta
Alex is the Director of Business Engineering in APAC at Meta. His team's mission is to help businesses grow today and build for tomorrow through world-class engineering. Prior to joining Meta, he was the head of product and engineering at Rakuten Viki, a successful video streaming startup acquired by Rakuten. Before that, Alex spent 10 years at Microsoft, where some of his many accomplishments include helping to launch the R&D center in Shanghai and incubating new cloud services in the early days of Azure. He also led the development of Microsoft’s billing and payment platform. Alex’s past work experiences include being a founding member of a new business venture for cloud infrastructure at Cisco Systems.
Alex is a citizen of the world. Having lived, studied and worked in Singapore, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Canada, and the United States, he loves learning about and experiencing new cultures. Alex has an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also has a bachelor’s degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a master’s from the University of Waterloo, both in computer science and with a specialisation in AI. Alex holds numerous patents for networking and workflow technologies.
Chong Kwek Bin
Technology Analyst, SG Enable
An adept user of assistive technology, and a former IT trainer for fellow persons with visual impairment, Kwek Bin has extensive experience in the field of digital accessibility. He served on the Steering Committees of the Enabling Masterplan 3 (2017 - 2021) and Enabling Masterplan 2030, national roadmaps guiding Singapore's disability inclusion efforts.
Throughout his career, he has also advised and coordinated feedback to various parties on digital accessibility. Kwek Bin is currently a Technology Analyst at SG Enable, Singapore’s focal agency for disability and inclusion, where he is working on assistive technology and e-accessibility initiatives.
Cyprian Wong
Director, Government Digital Services Central, GovTech
Cyprian Wong has about 20 years of experience in the Design consulting, CX, UX and design thinking spaces. He has worked in Singapore, London and Australia, leading Design work for many different blue chip organisations, government bodies and non-profit organisations such as GovTech Singapore, UBS and Proximity London.
He was a Smart Nation Fellow in design from 2021-2022, and currently works with the Singapore government to develop design capabilities for the whole of government to help bring benefit to the citizens and residents of Singapore. He is a firm believer of the value design brings to organisations and is agnostic in his use of technologies to solve problems.
Julie Schiller
UX Lead, Google
Julie Schiller has worked in UX at Google for 5 years. With 20 years of experience in software, web, mobile, and cars she likes to have opinions about user research. Julie has worked at Facebook, Autodesk, Wells Fargo, the BBC and with a variety of challenging stakeholders.
Julie also holds masters degrees in both Human-computer Interaction (HCI) and Human Factors from the University of Michigan and University College London. She has led teams of various sizes, focusing on strengths based leadership, and also treasures doing research with qualitative and quantitative methods.
Maria Rosala
Senior User Experience Specialist, Nielsen Norman Group
Maria Rosala is a Senior User Experience Specialist with a decade of experience in User Experience (UX). She began her UX career as a user researcher in the UK Government, helping to design many critical citizen-facing services that are used by millions of people, as well as internal products used by government employees.
At Nielsen Norman Group (NN/g), she regularly teaches UX professionals about UX topics and provides client advisory and UX research services for global clients across many industries. Maria has conducted independent research and co-authored several of NN/g’s UX research reports, including the Intranet Design Annual Award.

Alister Ong
Lead, Diversity Equity Inclusion Client Solutions, Michael Page
Alister Ong leads the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Clients solutions team through consulting with companies and businesses to hire persons with disabilities inclusively. He also plays the advisory role to companies in building a wholly inclusive culture which will enable all professionals to be fully integrated in company culture.
Apart from his day-to-day role, Alister has also been speaking in global organisations such as J.P Morgan, Bloomberg, LinkedIn, and Uber, with the objective of making a positive growth by providing a robust Diversity and Inclusion Strategy through thought leadership and change management.
Amanda Mace
Vice President of AbleDocs and W3C Evangelist, W3C and AbleDocs
Amanda Mace is AbleDocs' Vice President for Australasia. In this role, she manages the Australasia office while growing and promoting the AbleDocs brand across the region. Amanda is Co-Chair of the Australian Accessibility Web Accessibility Initiative (OZeWAI). She is also one of only two Australian-based W3C evangelists and the W3C Australian Western Region office manager.
Amanda is certified by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) as a Certified Professional. Before joining Team AbleDocs, Amanda was the General Manager of Web Key IT. In addition, she co-authored a book chapter for the textbook, 'Web Accessibility A Foundation for Research' as well as the white paper entitled, 'Digital Accessibility: Perceptions, Expectations and Reality'.
Dominic Chan
Assistant Chief Executive, Product Management, GovTech
As Assistant Chief Executive at the Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech), Dominic Chan leads the Product Management function of National Digital Identity (NDI), Moments of Life (MOL) and Digital Work Place (DWP). He holds a concurrent position of Senior Director, NDI, directly overseeing the development and implementation of programmes such as Singpass, Myinfo and various identity and access management related products. In his prior role in GovTech as Director, MOL, he was also responsible for products such as LifeSG, GoBusiness and Virtual intelligent Chat Assistant (VICA).
Jason Goh
EXCO Member, DBCS and Design Director, Dell Technologies, Design Business Chamber Singapore
Jason Goh is a passionate homegrown Singaporean designer with more than 20 years of design experience. He graduated with an Honors Degree in Design from the University of Glasgow in Scotland in 2001. Upon graduation Jason began his exciting career as an Industrial Designer working for various multi-national companies including Panasonic, Siemens VDO, Creative Technology, Hewlett-Packard and Dell Technologies. Over the years, Jason has established design recognition across multiple global design and innovation awards e.g. iF Gold, Red Dot, IDEA, SGMark, GMark Japan, Good Design Chicago Athenaeum, CES Best in Innovation etc.
Jason currently leads the Dell Experience Design Group in Singapore, responsible for crafting the end-to-end experience for Displays & Peripherals under the brand of Dell and Alienware. Apart from his day job, Jason is also actively contributing to the Singapore design community as an Executive Committee in Design Business Chamber Singapore and external examiner in various Design schools across Singapore.
Verdayne Nunis
Senior Director, Experience Center Asia, Microsoft
Leading the Customer Experience Team at the Microsoft Experience Center in Asia, Verdayne Nunis works in partnership with leaders across Asia to enable Microsoft’s mission to empower our customers and partners to reimagine our future. She is passionate about breaking down barriers for collaboration so that everyone can act as one team to achieve a higher purpose - successful transformation for customers in Asia.
She has spent the last 14 years at Microsoft, working closely with sales and marketing teams on the transformation from traditional software to a cloud business. She has contributed in various roles in Asia including Chief of Staff, led Commercial Communications covering 14 countries, orchestrated the launch of major business solutions, drove insight-based regional campaigns such as digital transformation, IOT, workplace 2020 and data culture. She also spent 5 years as the CMO for Microsoft Singapore and led a team on marketing communications, community affairs and corporate reputation management across all customer segments and NGOs.

Boh Boon Hou
Principle Consultant, Social Tech, Empact
Boon Hou is an accomplished Principal Consultant with a deep focus on social tech and a strong commitment to leveraging technology for positive social impact. With a career spanning over two decades, Boon Hou has successfully implemented IT solutions and led transformative initiatives in both the commercial and the social service sector.
At Empact, Boon Hou plays a pivotal role in driving social tech initiatives. He combines his extensive knowledge of technology with his understanding of social issues to design and propose IT solutions for the social service sector in Singapore. His strategic thinking and innovative approach have streamlined operations and enhanced collaboration, ultimately improving the delivery of social services.
Chiang Lihui
Deputy Director, Adoption and Engagement, SNDGO
Li Hui leads the Adoption and Engagement team in Smart Nation Digital Government Office, Prime Minister’s Office. She conceptualises and organises engagements with citizens, businesses and the wider civil service to suss out tech adoption pain points, outcomes of user-testing and prototyping. She also develops strategies and implement plans to increase adoption of specific technology platforms across the Singapore population and civil service; working with relevant technologists and government agencies to develop content to support the above objectives.
She started her career in the Singapore Airforce as a Air Warfare officer, where she ensures 24/7 all-round Air Surveillance and control operations to safeguard Singapore's airspace. She was also Assistant Director for Strategy at the Future Systems and Technology Directorate. There, she master-planned the R&D investments, balancing between whitespace and fiscal responsibility, to deliver game-changing concepts to realise cutting edge capabilities for the SAF.
She also had experience in the tech sector in Grab where she experienced #TechforGood and honed her skills for product management, Design thinking and UX/UI research. She also has a Masters in Public Health from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and has worked in Health Promotion Board as the Deputy Director for Strategic Planning and International Relations.
Evelyn Lam
News Presenter, Team Lead & Editor for Technology and Data Analytics, Channel 8 News
Evelyn is a news presenter, team lead and editor for the newsroom Data Analytics team and the technology features team Click IT. In her current role, she oversees, plans and provides editorial judgment for the production of stories for the weekly segments. She also curates technology trends and content to develop full features and news stories. Through her initiative, Channel 8 now uses full augmented reality to help audiences understand data trends and complex ideas with robust visual representations.
Evelyn has produced high profile stories which have landed her multiple awards, including Best News Story at the Star Awards for three consecutive years, a nomination at the Asian TV awards, and Best News Story and Outstanding Young Journalist of the Year award at the Mediacorp News Awards.
Effectively bilingual, Evelyn has produced and reported for CNA and is also a media trainer with the Singapore Media Academy.
Irene Tham
Technology Editor, The Straits Times
Irene Tham is Technology Editor at The Straits Times and has more than two decades of experience covering a wide range of technology issues from cyber security and data privacy to smart cities, artificial intelligence and blockchain. She began her career in 1999 reporting on technology developments in Asia at CNET and joined The Straits Times in 2007 as a technology reporter. Irene won the Singapore Press Holdings English/Malay/Tamil Media group Story of the Year award for her work “Public servants’ computers to have no net access” published in The Straits Times on 8 June 2016.
Jin Wang
Co-Founder, BYTE
Jin enjoys helping others appreciate and learn about how technology can enhance their everyday lives. She aspires to empower those in the community to explore the unlimited possibilities of technology and instill confidence through hands-on learning from programs that Byte offer. With the Byte team, Jin hopes to bring together passionate individuals and groups to make a difference by bridging the technology divide.
In her day job as a management consultant, Jin has worked with both public and private sector clients to reimagine their future, curate meaningful user/customer experiences, embrace change and drive effective change management strategies.
